Royal Film Performance opts for Harry Potter over James Bond
It had been rumoured for a few weeks that the premiere for the upcoming James Bond film would not be handled by the The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, as per "Casino Royale" in 2006. Now that has been confirmed by
BBC News.
This year's Royal Film Performance, which will benefit the CTBF, will host the world premiere of "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" on 17 November. The sixth Potter instalment will receive its premiere in front of a yet-to-be announced member of the Royal Family.
No details have been released of the "Quantum of Solace" premiere. The film opens nationwide in the UK on October 31st 2008.
