James Bond and Goldfinger make the AFI Top 100 Heroes and Villains

Both James Bond and Auric Goldfinger made the Top 100 Heroes and Villains, as voted by the American Film Institute.

3. James Bond (Sean Connery, "Dr. No.")
49. Auric Goldfinger (Gert Frobe, "Goldfinger")

The chart is part of AFI`s on-going celebration of 100 years of American movies. A jury was asked to choose the 50 heroes and 50 villains from an extensive list of the 400 characters first nominated.

Blofeld and Jaws from the Bond series were also nominated, but failed to make the top 100.
