`Quantum of Solace` earns $38m on Friday, weekend set for $80m
James Bond installment "Quantum of Solace" continued to conquer the international box office Friday, grossing $38 million and expanding into 9,870 theaters in 60 territories - reports

The Sony and MGM tentpole should see a weekend haul of around $80 million, meaning a 10-day cume of at least $130 million.
So far this year, only two Hollywood pics have grossed more than $80 million in any one weekend at the foreign B.O.: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" ($146.5 million) and "Iron Man" ($95.5 million). However, both those films were playing in all territories, while "Quantum of Solace" is still rolling out.
Toplining Daniel Craig, "Quantum" opens Nov. 14 in North America.
Among territory cumes through Friday, the Bond installment had grossed $39.3 in the U.K., $16.5 million in France, $7.7 million in Germany and $3.9 million in China.
