`Quantum of Solace receives nominations for two BAFTAs
As
MI6 previously reported, the box-office smash "Quantum of Solace" was in the running for awards in 7 categories at the 2009 BAFTAs.
Variety recently broke the news that the 22nd James Bond adventure had landed on the shortlist of two categories - Sound and Special Visual Effects.
The noms were announced by British actresses Gemma Arterton and Hayley Atwell Thursday at BAFTA's London headquarters.
The awards, which will be hosted by Jonathan Ross for the third year, will take place Feb. 8 at London's Royal Opera House.
TV coverage in the U.K., which will include the addition of a red carpet standalone show for the first time, will be extended across three BBC channels - BBC One, Two and Three.
The contenders for the two categories in which "Quantum" stands are as follows:
