`Bond, James Bond` exhibition opens at the Henry Ford Museum, Michigan, USA
Bond. James Bond, the exhibition, makes its North American debut at Henry Ford Museum on Saturday. The exhibit will remain there until December 31st 2003.
Celebrating 40 years of Bond in film, this high-tech, state-of-the-art exhibit was developed by England`s National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in partnership with EON Productions.
The U.S. premiere of this international blockbuster exhibit features some of the rarest props and memorabilia ever displayed.
"Bond films are the stuff of innovation and ingenuity," says Joanna Haas, Henry Ford Museum director. "It`s only fitting that Henry Ford Museum and the spy world of James Bond come together to produce a unique and adventure-filled experience.
Bond. James Bond explores the science and art of the Bond movies through the greatest collection of original 007 objects, images, concept drawings, storyboards and costume designs. From Rosa Klebb`s flick-knife shoe (From Russia With Love) to Oddjob`s killer bowler hat (Goldfinger), visitors get a behind-the-scenes view of the creative talents behind the film legend that is Bond. More than 100 two- and three-dimensional objects will be on display.
Exhibit-goers will not just view the exhibit, but will be drawn into a custom made Bond adventure. As they enter the exhibition, visitors step into the life of Bond as depicted in the movies. Guests are given access through their agent card. Once access is granted, the card unlocks classified information to bring one face to face with some of Bond`s deadliest adversaries. From M`s office to a visit inside Q`s famous workshop, ticket holders get a taste of the spy trade and hands-on training in espionage.
Tickets are $7, (general admission also required), and can be purchased at www.TheHenryFord.org or by calling (313) 982-6001. Museum admission ranges from $8.50 to $13.50.
