Christopher Lee on the modern 007: `they have to change certain things`
Christopher Lee has said James Bond bosses might need to "change certain things" about the spy movies.
The Lord Of The Rings actor - who starred as Bond villain Francisco Scaramanga in 1974's The Man With The Golden Gun - said of the long-running film franchise: "I think they have to change certain things" - reports
The Press Association.
"I mean, you cannot make a film which consists all the time of stunts and explosions and wrecks and beautiful women and technical tricks.
"There's a danger there that the actor - or the whole cast - isn't entirely convincing. That people are inclined to remember the effects, and that's dangerous with any kind of film."
Christopher, 86, added that the 007 films should continue as long as movie-goers demand them, but warned: "I think you have to be careful when you make these films that they don't become repetitive, you know - Martinis shaken not stirred, my name is Bond, James Bond, which in Casino Royale was the last line of the film."
The actor was also full of praise for current Bond Daniel Craig. "He's a very good actor Daniel Craig, a very good actor," he said.
