Classic Bond concert by Florida Orchestra planned for May 21-23
The Florida Orchestra announces today its 2009-2010 season.
James Bond fans will enjoy nearly four decades of 007's theme music in "Classic James Bond," while tried-and-true favorites include Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1," Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" and works by Mahler, Ravel, Copland, Verdi and many more.
Highlights also include the Beatles-inspired "Magical Mystery Tour;" "A Tribute to Ray Charles," with Matt Catingub conducting and vocals by Ellis Hall; and "A Century of Broadway's Best," featuring hit songs by George M. Cohan and Andrew Lloyd Webber, among others.
