Aston Martin DB5 voted most iconic screen car

22-Feb-2009 • Bond News

James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 in the 1964 film Goldfinger has been voted most iconic screen motor ever - reports the Daily Mirror.

No.2 was the Ford Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in Bullitt (1968), ahead of The Italian Job's Minis from 1969.

No.4 was David Hasselhoff's talking car Kitt in 80s show Knight Rider. Fifth in the poll by DVD rental firm Lovefilm was VW Beetle Herbie from 1969's The Love Bug.

Lovefilm's Fliss White said: "Bond's fast cars always provided thrills, so it's great to see his Aston Martin DB5 ruling the roads."
