Sir Roger Moore pays tribute to his late wife Dorothy Squires
The most gentlemanly of all the screen James Bonds, Sir Roger Moore, 81, pays posthumous tribute to his late second wife, fiery Welsh singing star Dorothy Squires, 40 years after the acrimonious ending of their 16-year marriage - reports the
Daily Mail.
For eight years after he left her in 1961, Squires refused Moore a divorce, causing two of his three children by Italian starlet Luisa Mattioli to be born out of wedlock.
Now, multi-millionaire Moore is forking out £300 for a blue Heritage plaque to be fixed to the council house in Dafen, Carmarthenshire, where she lived as a child. The always colourful Dot was born in a horse-drawn caravan at Pontyberem, eight miles away.
