Pirece Brosnan has bought an Aston Martin

This Is London have confirmed rumours that Pierce Brosnan as bought an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish for himself:

007 star Pierce Brosnan has bought a £160,000 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish after driving the supercar during filming for the new Bond movie Die Another Day. He has had an identical model - one of only 300 made - delivered to his Malibu beachfront home.

Suggestions that the Bond-Aston Martin connection got him a discount were rejected by company directors who said he paid full price plus shipping - like any other customer.

But Brosnan will be hoping that his 200mph tungsten silver car performs better than the one used in the film. That broke down on a set at a disused Gloucestershire airfield earlier this year and had to be jump-started. Tim Watson, director of public affairs for Aston Martin Lagonda, said: "Mr Brosnan asked for all the same specifications as the car he drove in Die Another Day.

"Of course, in Mr Brosnan`s car, there will be no ejector seats, no missile launchers and no machine guns."
