Another publicist tries to start a Bond Girl rumour for their client
Agents and publicists are jumping on the Bond Girl rumour band-wagon even earlier than usual for the 23rd James Bond movie, due out in 2011. With no director attached yet and lacking a first draft script, the odds of any of these rumours having even a slither of truth is too far fetched to calculate.
Fresh off the unfounded `Ignaczewska` story cooked up by the Polish media, with a dubious 'quote' from EON casting director Debbie McWilliams, another publicist is looking to get some free press for their client.
Self-titled 'casting assistant' Rodwell Rivers dropped emails to 007 websites claiming a scoop:
"I just wanted to share with you that EON Productions is currently in serious negotiations with actress/TV Presenter, [*see note below*]
, to play James Bond's love interest in the next instalment of Bond 23. She caught the eye of executive producer's Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli in February 2008 while filming Quantum of Solace on location in the Republic of Panama. She was cast in franchise's 22nd film as the "mayor's wife" for the "party scene" which was shot over a period of two weeks in Panama City, Panama which doubled as a Bolivian location.
MI6 has removed the name of the actress involved to spare her the free publicity.
