Craig and Jackman`s salaries for Broadway production revealed

18-Sep-2009 • Actor News

Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig are set to make a tidy sum from their appearance on Broadway, it has been reported.

According to the New York Post, the two stars will each earn nearly 100,000 US dollars a week while on stage in police drama A Steady Rain.

Documents obtained by the paper claim the two actors will get 40,000 dollars each as a base salary, plus a hefty percentage of the box office takings.

Sources say the play has already taken 10 million dollars in advance sales.

A producer said Jackman is proving the biggest draw.

"By himself, I don't think Daniel Craig is that big of a draw. By himself, Jackman can sell out the Yellow Pages," they said.

Other high earners on Broadway include Julia Roberts, who was estimated to have made more than 150,000 dollars a week while in Three Days Of Rain, and Sarah Jessica Parker's husband Matthew Broderick, who reportedly earned 100,000 dollars a week for The Producers.
