Daniel Craig to join ensemble cast for `Courage in Concert` benefit performance

Daniel Craig, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Linda Emond, and Mike Nichols will join previously announced stars Kevin Kline and Meryl Streep in a one-night benefit performance of Courage in Concert at the Public Theater on Monday, October 19 at 8pm - reports TheaterMania.

The concert will use songs and poems from the 2006 Shakespeare in the Park production of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, which was translated by Tony Kushner with music by Jeanine Tesori. It will also feature original stars Jenifer Lewis, Austin Pendleton, and Frederick Weller, as well as cast members from the Broadway revival of Hair.

In addition, Hair stars Will Swenson and Gavin Creel will host a live viewing party of the concert at Joe's Pub, beginning at 7:30pm.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit American Jewish World Service and Partners in Health.
Tickets to the event are priced $250-$2500, while viewing party tickets are $35. They can be purchased by calling 212-967-7555 or by visiting www.publictheater.org.
