Mariah Carey up for Bond 21 title song and Madonna style cameo according to US media reports

06-Aug-2003 • Casino Royale

Mariah Carey could be in line to sing the next James Bond theme tune according to a report on Dotmusic.com

Rumours circulating in the US suggest that Carey has already agreed to sing the lead track from the 21st Bond film.

The film could see Carey come on board if she gets a cameo role herself.

World Entertainment News Network reports that Carey is interested in a part in the movie on a similar standing as Madonna`s brief recent appearance in "Die Another Day".

"Mariah has had meetings with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson," a source is reported to have said.

"She was asked if she`d consider singing the theme tune for Bond 21. Mariah said she wanted a part in the new film although the story hasn`t been discussed yet."

Mariah Carey was rumoured as a Bond Girl for "Bond 20" before Halle Berry and Rosamund Pike were ultimately cast. The rumours came on the back of news that her rival Whitney Houston was up for a part.

MI6 Rumour Rating: Sounds like an MGM idea.
