Sir Roger Moore charity dinner in Dublin this weekend
The red carpet will be rolled out at the Ballsbridge Court Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, tomorrow evening for a party that has got every movie buff truly shaken and stirred, reports the
Herald.
James Bond legend Roger Moore is jetting into town to don his dapper tuxedo at this weekend's UNICEF black-tie dinner and casino night.
Tickets for the bash, which cost â¬125, have apparently been snapped up like proverbial hotcakes.
A champagne reception will be followed by a four-course meal with wine and live music, while attendees will also get the unique chance to hear Moore speak about the work of the children's charity.
And there will also be plenty of casino action afterwards, just to keep things interesting. Among those expected to press the flesh are UNICEF boss Melanie Verwoerd and her other half, RTE's Gerry Ryan.
Meanwhile, a tasty lunch will be served up to guests today for the Cooks Academy party. The renowned Dun Laoghaire-based cookery school is throwing its doors open for a coffee morning and series of cookery demonstrations in aid of the same charity.
Organisers have called on members of the public to join them and learn how to make their own Christmas gifts for family and friends.
