Plans for a James Bond vehicle museum near Chicago inch ahead
Could the small town of Momence in Illinois, USA, become known as the international destination for James Bond fans? If all goes according to plan, the answer will be yes, reports the
Daily Journal.
A museum featuring the vehicles used in 20 of the 23 Bond spy movies will be on display at a former Momence auto dealership if plans move ahead as city and museum officials envision. Momence is 50 miles south of Chicago. Early discussions also involve the museum focusing on the role of real-life spies and espionage in the Cold War era.
"At long last, there is a glimmer of hope to pull these vehicles out of storage and get them where people can see 'em," said Momence native Doug Redenius, vice president of the international Ian Fleming Foundation.
