Download a podcast interview with Bond composer David Arnold

03-Mar-2010 • Bond News

This Month in a special edition of the CBSO Podcast, there's a chance to hear the post-concert talk given earlier this month by the film composer David Arnold. David was the special guest at a sold-out CBSO Friday Night Classics concert featuring music from the movies (music from Arnold's scores for Independence Day and Casino Royale were performed during the concert) and afterwards he spoke about his life as a film composer. His credits include Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, Hot Fuzz, Zoolander, Little Britain and the last five James Bond films.

Arnold talks about the thrill of hearing his music played live by a world-class orchestra in a concert hall, how he creates a score for a film, working with directors, dealing with the business of movies and what it's like to write music for the world's best known secret agent. A revealing look into the life of one of the UK's most successful composers.
