Pierce Brosnan still misses the James Bond role
Pierce Brosnan would prefer if you still called him Bond â James Bond, reports

In a recent interview with ABC News Nowâs âPopcorn With Peter Travers,â the star of Roman Polanskiâs new movie, âThe Ghost Writer,â revealed that heâs still wondering why he got booted from the Bond franchise in 2004. Brosnan played the international man of mystery in âGoldenEye,â âTomorrow Never Dies,â âThe World Is Not Enoughâ and âDie Another Day.â
âI was wondering why the door closed on me!,â he said of being dropped from the role. âI thought everything was going so well! You know âCome back,â they say, âCome backâ and there you go! We wonât talk about that.

Though he may bemoan how his stint as Bond ended, Brosnan feels blessed to have played the iconic character. So if you see him, go ahead and call him 007.
âThey call me out, âHey James, hey Bond,â and I wear it with pride,â Brosnan said of his fans. âI had the greatest time in my life, making that character, being part of that franchise.â
