James Bond`s Aston Martin DB5 voted the coolest car of all time
James Bond`s Aston Martin DB5 has been voted the coolest car of all time, by a BBC "Top Gear" magazine poll of the 100 coolest cars.
The DB5 featured in the 1964 film "Goldfinger". Top Gear said today: "Goldfinger made Bond and it probably made Aston Martin too."
Aston Martin were making a loss selling the cars before it made the big screen debut, and originally turned down the chance of having Bond drive it in the film. History beckoned for the DB5 though, and popularity with cinema audiences meant the vehicle returned in 1965`s "Thunderball".
