New interview with 007 composer David Arnold, updates on Bond 23
Motoring website
Skidmark.com interviewed James Bond composer David Arnold last week, with a particular focus on how he translates the individual character of the cars featured in each Bond movie to the music score that he creates.
Arnold opened up in the interview about the
stalled 'Bond 23', his plans for the future, as well as sharing advice to any budding film composers.
Asked whether he will work on Bond 23 as soon as the production restarts, Arnold said: "I would never presume anything, but I would be surprised if I wasnât, but prepared not to be just in case it happens! I mean, I donât know when the next oneâs going to be, we were supposed to be doing it next year but obviously we have to wait for the situation with MGM to settle down, so I think itâll probably be the year after. Certainly weâve been talking about it with that in mind â that Iâd be doing it â and Iâm still involved with other things with EON anyway, for example Iâm in talks to do some things for the 50th anniversary. I think youâre foolish to assume, so I always remind Michael and Barbara that I donât expect to be asked every single time, but they know the level of commitment they get out of me if they do."
