MI6 meets 007 continuation author Jeffery Deaver

MI6 were among the few specially selected organizations to meet the new James Bond continuation author Jeffery Deaver today under secretive conditions, echoing the Cold War chill that ran through Ian Fleming's original 007 adventures.

The location for the rendezvous, kept classified until the last moment, was the mysterious crypt at St Andrews Church in London.

Deaver is the latest, but most accomplished thriller writer, to take on the challenge of continuing Ian Fleming's literary legacy. 'Project X' (working title) will be set in the modern day with Bond 'rebooted' with a new contemporary backstory.

Although not much of the wide-ranging 30 minute discussion can be revealed at this time, fans should rest assured that Bond's next literary adventure is in safe hands.

'Project X' will be published on or around May 28th, 2011.
