Bond themed charity day breaks the records for local fund raisers
The Express and Star have reported that a Staffordshire town`s annual Charter Fair raised more than 8,000 GBP for charity thanks to help from 007 themed prizes and events.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the James Bond-themed event in the summer, which was organised by Rugeley Town Council.
The final figure of 8,092.91 GBP is up on the 7,777.08 GBP collected the previous year for charities and good causes.
Among this year`s attractions were a parade through the town, performances from bands and dancers and a fireworks display.
An Aston Martin Vanquish, featured in publicity for the movie Die Another Day, and a DB5, from the Goldfinger and Thunderball era, were also on display.
