Sir Roger Moore says he's lucky with long term memory

11-Aug-2010 • Actor News

He may be 82 but Sir Roger Moore insists his memory is fine – as long as he has only to recall events from 70 years ago, reports the Express.

The former 007 recently released his memoirs My Word Is My Bond and admits that he had far more trouble recalling recent goings-on.

“How do I recall so much of my younger years? I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday but I can tell you what I did in 1940,” he muses.

“I think really it was a very happy childhood and from that I have many good memories – one memory triggers another, then another and it all comes flooding back to me. I even remember lines from plays I did in the Forties – maybe I’m just lucky in that respect.”
