'A View To A Kill' lands impressive ratings for ITV
Despite ITV running two James Bond films every weekend, the British agent is still scoring impressive ratings for the UK broadcaster.
ITV1 screened Sir Roger Moore's final outing "A View to a Kill" on Sunday afternoon and pulled in an impressive 2.6 million viewers and a 16.6% audience share across all channels, including digital.
Considering its afternoon weekend timeslot, where national viewing levels are low, the Bond movies are great value for money for the commercial broadcaster. Rival network Channel 5 screened "Men in Black 2" in prime time on Sunday and only managed 1.694 million (6.3% audience share).
"A View To A Kill" even scored more viewers than "Match of the Day 2" on BBC2 that night (2.545 million/13.3%).
