Inflated Mr Big ranks in top movie death scenes

John Hurt's stomach-bursting scene in Alien was yesterday named as the most memorable movie death, reports the Mirror. It just pips the shower scene in Psycho when Janet Leigh's character is knifed by Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates.

Third is Roger Moore as James Bond making Mr Big explode in Live And Let Die by forcing air into him.

The rest of the top 10 - compiled for Friday's launch of computer game Dead Rising 2 - is: Dennis Hopper decapitated on a train in Speed; a lawyer on the toilet eaten by a T-Rex in Jurassic Park; James Caan hit by 147 bullets in The Godfather; a woman killed by her jet-propelled stair lift in Gremlins; Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones shooting a swordsman in Raiders Of The Lost Ark; the opening shark attack in Jaws; and the Wicked Witch crushed by Dorothy's house in The Wizard Of Oz.

The game's creators Capcom said: "We think we've identified some of the more unusual deaths in cinema history."
