'GoldenEye 007' on Wii stays in USA top 20, 'Blood Stone' is MIA

19-Nov-2010 • Gaming

"GoldenEye 007" on the Nintendo Wii shifted 45,411 copies last week according to VGChartz.com, just over half what it sold during its debut week. It ranks the title at #20 on the all titles, all platforms US chart (down from #10 last week) for week ending November 13th. Considering the influx of Kinect titles in the chart, "GoldenEye 007" has hung on strongly.

The hold-over appears strong in EMEA too, where the game sold 36,751 copies last week, down from 47,956 on launch.

With holiday-season purchases looming and good word of mouth, the title could see continued sales strength through the New Year.

Elsewhere, the site's figures for "Blood Stone" are damning. It estimates the title only sold 5,779 and 10,422 units in the USA on PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively. At least 30,000 units on a given platform are needed to break in to the Top 30 games chart. To put things in to perspective, Activision's other shooter released last week, "Call of Duty: Black Ops", shifted over 5.5m copies in the US.
