Armed police called as cut-out of Pierce Brosnan is spotted

Armed police were summoned to a flat in Germany after a driving instructor spied Pierce Brosnan in the window with a gun, reports Metro.

The instructor was passing the flat in the southern German city of Augsburg when he spotted what seemed to be a man in the window with A View To Kill.

The driving instructor alerted the police and armed officers were dispatched to tackle the gunman.

But when police arrived at the scene, the figure in the window turned out to be a cardboard cut-out of actor Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.

The life-size cut-out of 007 had been used to promote a special offer on James Bond movies.

Perhaps the driving instructor will be trying to keep his eyes on the road to avoid further embarrassments.
