'Bond 23' reportedly slated to open in the UK on 26 October 2012

According to several film websites (including Variety) and UK tabloids, MGM and Sony have announced that the UK and Ireland release date for James Bond 23 will be brought forwards from the previously mooted date of November 9th 2012.

Variety predict a premiere on Oct. 26, 2012 at the Odeon Leicester Square, London.

If this is correct, British Bond fans will have the chance to see Daniel Craig in his third 007 adventure 2 weeks prior to fans in the USA.

American filmgoers had to wait a similar length of time for "Quantum of Solace"

Bond 23 is directed by British "American Beauty" director Sam Mendes.
