Bond 23 reported to retain Peter Morgan's 'big hook'

07-Sep-2011 • Skyfall

In June 2009 EON Productions and MGM confirmed via a press release that acclaimed screenwriter Peter Morgan had signed on to co-write the 23rd James Bond movie with regular scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. It was during MGM's financial turmoil in later 2010 that Morgan exited the production with nothing more than an outline drafted.

Now, in a brief chat with Digital Spy the writer revealed that, to his knowledge, the incumbent writers on Bond 23 (Purvis, Wade and John Logan) are using just one of his ideas for the new film. It happens to be a central plot point, however.

"I hear that an idea, the central idea, is still there but not one similar thing other than that. I think they've still kept the big hook, which I'm not going to tell you!" he said.

Thanks to `Samuel001` for the alert.
