James Bond joins the 21st century with official Facebook and Twitter

EON Productions will launch an official James Bond page on Facebook and feed on Twitter tomorrow, as the 23rd film in the 007 series hosts its traditional kick-off press conference in central London.

Since Sony Pictures' involvement started with "Casino Royale" in 2006, the franchise has seen a slow but steady uptake in internet activity, after the traditional distributor MGM, shied away from the digital age.

Tomorrow also marks the 50th anniversary of the announcement that Sean Connery would be playing Ian Fleming's super spy James Bond 007 in "Dr No".
