Special exhibition marks Odeon anniversary - including never before seen Bond premiere pictures

26-Nov-2003 • Event

An exhibition of celebrity photographs is being staged at the Odeon in London`s Leicester Square to mark the 300th film premiere at the famous cinema, report Ananova.

The images include Princess Diana meeting Roger Moore at the premiere for Octopussy and a shot of Elton John at the Tommy premiere in 1975.

The photographs - many never seen before - also capture film stars posing on the red carpet and relaxing inside the cinema. Many of the pictures in the exhibition were taken by Scott and Harry Myers.

Harry Myers became the in-house photographer for the cinema in 1959. He then passed on the mantle to his son Scott, who continues in the role to this day.

Cinema manager Chris Hilton said: "This exhibition shows some of the big names we`ve welcomed through our doors over the years, as well as capturing some of the buzz of a premiere night in the West End."

The free Film Icons exhibition, runs from Thursday, November 27, to Thursday, December 4.
