Shortly after the sad passing of James Bond star Sir Roger Moore in May, a special series of charity screenings were announced in the UK, USA, and select other parts of the world that would benefit UNICEF, a charity for which Sir Roger was a Goodwill Ambassador.
Double-bills of 'The Spy Who Loved Me' and 'For Your Eyes Only' were selected by the film distributor Park Circus for the majority of the charity screenings.
Since the events took place five months ago, MI6 has repeatedly requested feedback from Park Circus on how much money was raised for UNICEF from the well-attended screenings.
Park Circus confirmed today that the amount raised for charity will not be revealed. No reason was given for the secrecy.
Hi, proceeds now with UNICEF. However at this stage no public announcement will be made as to exact amount. Let me know if more questions!
