Sam Mendes, who directed the previous two James Bond films 'Skyfall' and 'Spectre,' has crewed up for his new film '1917.'
The film follows two young British soldiers on a single day at the height of World War I and starts shooting on April 1st - the same week as Bond 25 is reported to start principal photography.
His core crew of cinematographer Roger Deakins; production designer Dennis Gassner; editor Lee Smith; and composer Thomas Newman mean that none of them will be performing duties on Bond 25.
The role of production designer, editor, and composer are yet to be officially announced for Bond 25, but whoever is selected will not have been on the team that produced 'Spectre.'
Mendes also hired 'Skyfall' and 'Spectre' script supervisor Jayne-Ann Tenggren and regular Bond executive-producer Callum McDougall.
