Tabloid wheels out the Bond 'death' disagreement again

08-Mar-2019 • No Time To Die

When Danny Boyle split from directing the 25th James Bond film, it was officially explained due to 'creative differences.'

It was around that time that the concept of killing off Bond at the end of the film, or perhaps leaving it unclear as to his fate (as it is at the end of Ian Fleming's novel 'From Russia With Love') may have been a contentious idea.

This week, the Daily Star is contradicting reports from last year by claiming it was Boyle that wanted to kill Bond off.

A 'source' in Los Angeles told the tabloid: "Boyle thought that killing 007 would be a brilliant way to pave the way for introducing a new Bond."

"But when the dust settled there was push back from Barbara and Daniel. The feeling was that the audience should be left guessing as to the plight of their man."

The article also claims the film will be called 'Shatterhand,' so you know where to file this one...
