An unofficial UK film industry production diary has listed a working title for the 25th James Bond film.
In the Production Weekly listing for the week of August 22nd, the production is described as “James Bond 25” (w/t "Shatterhand"). W/t denotes 'working title.'
'Shatterhand' has been a long-rumoured title for a future James Bond film (as far back as 1997) and had been floated as a possibility for Bond 25 last year.
It comes from the moniker of a villain Bond is sent to assassinate in Japan from the Ian Fleming novel 'You Only Live Twice.' 007 ultimately discovers Blofeld is hiding behind the false identity. It has been rumoured that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade's title for their Bond 25 screenplay was 'Shatterhand.'
