The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is making initial inquiries into the 'controlled explosion' that tore the walls off the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios and injured a crew member during production on Bond 25 yesterday.
The HSE, an independent body whose mission is "to prevent work-related death, injury and ill health" told Yahoo: "HSE is aware of the incident and making initial inquiries."
According to the report, these inquiries are likely to see if the incident falls under their jurisdiction. Part of the HSE’s mission is to "hold employers to account for their failures and get answers for victims and make workplaces safer."
The company responsible may not be EON Productions though, as Event Horizon is the special effects company that has been hired to provide all the pyrotechnics on all of Daniel Craig’s Bond films. Event Horizon was unwilling to talk to Yahoo offering a simple "no comment".
