Three Bond songs make it into AFIs `100 Greatest Music In The Movies` nominee list
The American Film Institute (AFI) today announced AFI`s 100 Years...100 Songs to be the annual theme for AFI`s on-going celebration of 100 years of American movies.
The show will count down the 100 greatest songs in the movies, as chosen by experts of the motion picture community, in a three-hour television event on the CBS Television Network in June 2004.
Out of the
400 nominations up for the ballot, three songs from the James bond series of 20 films make the list:
"For Your Eyes Only" performed by Sheena Easton for the 1981 film of the same title
"Nobody Does It Better" (1977) performed by Carly Simon for "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977).
"Live And Let Die" performed by Paul McCartney and Wings for Roger Moore`s first outing as 007 in 1973.
