UK Bond seasons comes to an end, LTK almost breaks records

27-Aug-2002 • Media Alert

The UK Bond season on ITV came to a close last week with "Licence To Kill".

The film, which is often controversial between fans, faired rather better than expected with a general TV audience. 6.7 million viewers tuned in on Wednesday evening to watch Timothy Dalton`s second and final appearence as Bond .

"Licence To Kill" completes an ITV run which saw all Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton films shown in chronological order. Moore`s down to earth adventure "For Your Eyes Only" pipped LTK as the most watched film in the series, earning an extra 200,000 viewers.

A random showing of "From Russia With Love" this Bank Holiday Monday afternoon on ITV pulled in approximately 3 million viewers.
