Hugh Jackman turns down post-Brosnan James Bond contract in favour of Wolverine franchise, claims movie mag

27-Jan-2004 • Actor News

HotDog Magazine (UK) have a new rumour on the old Hugh Jackman story in their February 2004 issue.

They claim Jackman was offered a contract to take over from Brosnan post Bond 21 (due out Novemebr 2005), but turned it down in favour of signing up to a Wolverine franchise - a spin off from the X-Men series.

The magazine is perhaps best known to Bond fans for "reviewing" Die Another Day back, weeks before even the first press screeing, simply by rewording infomation from 007 websites. They claimed at the time Sean Connery was to appear in a cameo as Bond`s father, before the Producers remembered he was dead, the magazine said.

MI6 Rumour Rating: They`ll print anything these days.
