Denise Richards, Dr. Christmas Jones in TWINE, becomes a mom for the first time

17-Mar-2004 • Actor News

Denise Richards gave birth last Tuesday in Los Angeles to the couple`s first child, a girl they named Sam Sheen, her husband Charlie Sheen`s publicist said in a statement issued on Monday.

Actor Charlie Sheen, who stars in his own CBS sitcom as an unabashedly committed bachelor helping to raise a young nephew, has become a real-life father for the second time.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces at birth, and both mother and daughter "are doing great," the statement said.

Richards, 33, played Dr. Christmas Jones in the 1999 film "The World Is Not Enough", and was last seen in theatres in the horror spoof "Scary Movie 3" - along with Sheen as her on-screen partner.

Pregnant Denise showed off her growing curves in a glittering ensemble as she stepped out with hubby Charlie Sheen at the "Scary Movie 3" premiere

Sheen, 38, who has a 19-year-old daughter, Cassandra, from a previous relationship, currently stars on the CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men," which ranks as the most watched newly scripted series on prime-time television. His father, Martin Sheen, stars on the NBC political drama "The West Wing."
