Sophie Marceau pulls out of French Film Week festival in Beijing, China

03-Apr-2004 • Actor News

The upcoming French Film Week in Beijing will be deprived of one of its stars, with Sophie Marceau pulling out due to filming commitments, say China Radio International.

She will now appear only on the silver screen, alongside Vincent Perez in Je Reste!, one of the ten French movies showing at the festival.

A delegation led by Vincent Perez and famed director Charles Berling will be showing up in Beijing, starting on April 8th.

Chinese sponsors have also invited some domestic stars to act as delegates to each French film. No doubt well known actor and director Jiang Wen will be disappointed that, having been made advisor to the Je Reste! team, he won`t be able to chaperone Mademoiselle Marceau.
