Sir Sean Connery and Dame Judi Dench are the UK`s top choice for grandparents

Dame Judi Dench and Sean Connery would make the best grandparents, according to a new BBC survey, reports The Scotsman.

Known to Bond fans as the current "M" and the original 007, Dench pulled in 40% of the vote, and Connery earned 31%, to top their poll categories.

The BBC`s Parenting Magazine asked readers to come up with their ideal family unit.

Gary Lineker and Marge Simpson are the nation`s ideal parents. And boy wizard Harry Potter would complete the perfect family.

Dame Judi said she was "thrilled and delighted" with her accolade.

Parenting Magazine polled 8,000 people for the survey, which is published in tomorrow’s issue.
