007 comes to the rescue of Sean Connery on the golf course
Scottish actor Tony curran recalled a Glasgow-Edinburgh grudge match on the golf course with Sir Sean Connery to
The Scotsman newspaper this week.
Theyâd both hit their balls into the rough and wandered in to look for them. Tony bent down. "Iâve found mine."
Sir Sean ambled over. "I think youâll find itâs mine."
"No. Itâs mine. Itâs a Titleist."
"I think youâll find mineâs Titleist No 1."
"Iâm playing a Titleist No 1 too."
"Is there anything on the back?"
Tony turned it over. And there was the clear marking: "007". Game, set and match, as they might not say.
