Pierce`s son Christopher Brosnan arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen mobile telephones

15-Jul-2004 • Actor News

Pierce Brosnan's son has been arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen mobile telephones, reports The Scotsman.

According to the newspaper, "Christopher Brosnan, 32, was detained at celebrity nightclub Chinawhite’s in central London in the early hours of yesterday."

"He and his sister Charlotte were adopted by James Bond actor Brosnan, who married their mother, Cassandra Harris. Ms Harris later died of breast cancer."

"A Scotland Yard spokesman would not confirm Mr Brosnan’s name but said: “A 32-year-old man was initially arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning at a central London nightclub on suspicion of possessing stolen mobile telephones."

“He was taken into custody at a central London Police station.”

"Mr Brosnan was also detained in connection with a separate incident – failing to answer police bail over allegations of the theft of a handbag from Victoria coach station, earlier this year."

The spokesman added: “On April 4 a handbag was stolen from Victoria coach station. A 32-year-old man was arrested on April 5 for theft and handling stolen goods and bailed to return on April 19.

“He failed to return on that date and was arrested yesterday at a central London police station for failing to appear in connection with theft and handling stolen goods.”

Mr Brosnan was released on police bail yesterday and is due to return on August 12.
