"Bourne" star Matt Damon has been discussing the James Bond #6 issue during interviews about his latest movie, "The Bourne Supremacy".

Asked whether he would like to take over from Pierce Brosnan, Damon said: "I've never really thought of it, but that would be great. The only thing is, James Bond is such a British institution.

"I'd love the challenge of playing him, but there are so many great British actors who I think should be on the list before me, like Ewan McGregor. He'd be fantastic."

No official announcement about who will be playing 007 in the 21st James Bond film has been made yet, although news is expected within the month.
