Denise Richards signs UPN deal to star in new 2005/6 series

02-Sep-2004 • Actor News

Actress Denise Richards has signed a deal with UPN to star in an upcoming TV series, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

The paper said Richards, who played Dr. Christmas Jones in the 1999 James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough, would either have a series developed for her or be cast in one of UPN's 2005-06 pilots.

Richards is married to Charlie Sheen, the star of the CBS comedy, Two and a Half Men. She guest-starred on the series last season, helping it achieve one of its best ratings of 2003-04, the paper said.

Richards will appear with Dean Cain in the upcoming Lifetime TV movie, I Do, But I Don't -- described as the story a divorced wedding-planner who falls for the groom in one of her projects.

She's also in the cast of the upcoming Kim Basinger-Sean Astin comedy, Elvis Has Left the Building.
