Rosamund Pike signed up to star in film adaptation of `Doom` videogame

According to website, stuff.co.nz, Rosamund has been cast alongside ex-wrestler come actor The Rock, and New Zealander Karl Urban.

Rosamund played Miranda Frost, the double agent in Bond's most recent outing "Die Another Day" and is currently filming `Pride and Prejudice`.

Little is known about the "Doom" film ,however the IMDb.com plot line sums the new film up as:

`At war with alien demons, John Grimm (Urban), head of a special ops team, comes face-to-face with an organization responsible for the death of his parents.`

"Doom" is set for a 2005 release, will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, a Polish director, with four films under his belt. One of those is `Romeo Must Die` of 2000.
