Christopher Walken honoured at Hollywood theater
Christopher Walken, who played James Bond villain Max Zorin in the 1985 film "A View To A Kill", has left his hand and foot prints outside Hollywood's Chinese Theater - reports the
BBC.
He stamped prints of his dancing shoes into the cement, recalling his childhood training as a dancer. "This is a thrill, a big day for me, I've been lucky. Thank you for this day," he said at the ceremony.
More than 180 stars are immortalised outside the cinema. The tradition started with Norma Talmadge in 1927.
Walken won a best supporting actor Oscar for his role in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter, and become the fist Oscar winner to be cast as a 007 villain. He was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2002 for his appearance in 2002's Catch Me If You Can.
The ceremony coincided with the opening of Walken's latest film, Around The Bend, about a reunion of four generations of men in the same family.
