Pierce Brosnan is still James Bond - as far as his kids are concerned

Despite his frank admission yesterday that his days as 007 are over, he is still James Bond - in his children's eyes at least.

In an video interview on ExtraTV, Pierce said, "My youngest is three and my oldest is seven. They've grown up with me as James Bond, and daddy's not, daddy's an actor, pretending."

Pierce Brosnan is currently promoting his latest movie, "After The Sunset" with co-star Salma Hayek.



Hayek said, "When I was living in Mexico and I didn't even know I was going to be an actress, I used to have a crush on him back in 'Remington Steele,'" she told us. "That was my dream man! Little did I know that one day I would be in the Bahamas on a beach kissing him! He's gorgeous, and he's a gentleman, and he's a lovely human being. There is no age for that kind of quality. It goes on forever."

And, ever the gentleman, Pierce had his own raves for Salma, saying "When she's on screen, there's no one else!"
