UK TV - `Die Another Day` to make network premiere on ITV, October 27th

15-Oct-2004 • Media Alert

The latest James Bond film "Die Another Day" (2002) will be broadcast in the UK for the first time on terrestrial TV this month.

Usually the debut screening of the latest 007 movie is held off to tie-in with the release of a new film in theatres, or a marketing ploy to help sell DVDs. This time around there is no connection with a Bond release of any kind and it has been almost two years since "Die Another Day" premiered back in November 2002. Unfortunately ITV1 will be splitting the screening into two parts to accomodate the news, spanning the film over 3 hours.

Film: "Die Another Day" (2002)
Channel: ITV1
Date: Wednesday 27th October 2004
Time: 21:00 -> 22:30, 23:00 -> 00:05 GMT

When his top-secret mission is sabotaged, James Bond finds himself captured by the enemy, abandoned by MI6 and stripped of his 00-licence. Determined to get revenge, Bond goes head-to-head with a sultry spy, a frosty agent, and a shadowy billionaire whose business is diamonds... but whose secret is a diabolical weapon that could bring the world to its knees!

Director: Lee Tamahori
Cast: Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Toby Stephens, Rosamund Pike, Rick Yune, Dame Judi Dench, Michael Madsen, John Cleese.
